Welcome to The international Medical Spouse Network The international Medical Spouse Network (iMSN) is the the original online community made by medical spouses for medical spouses. We are a nonprofit organization, dedicated to supporting medical families during the medical training years and beyond. Our mission is to provide help and encouragement to medical families as they navigate the medical education process and eventually finish residency or fellowship. We do this by providing online community forums, scheduled chats, and free career and relocation resources. Our members also host local get-togethers. iMSN Forums The iMSN online community forums have been active since 1999. Our members represent all stages of the medical training years. Our membership ranges from those just beginning the medical school process to those who have finished residency and fellowship. The iMSN Forums have both public and private discussion areas. MDFamily Magazine The international Medical Spouse Network has it's own online magazine for medical families. MDFamily is published 6 times a year. It began as a print newsletter, but has grown into the only magazine for medical spouse's in all stages of medical training. Visit MDFamily Magazine to read articles written by medical spouses! Residency Area Reviews The Residency Area Reviews is a relatively new resource provided by the iMSN. It provides medical spouse's with the opportunity to rate the residency program and surrounding community and provide information to other spouse's who are going through the Match process. Spouse's may comment on the real estate market, cost-of-living, career opportunities, local schools and available shopping. In addition, they may address the program's adherence to the 80 hour work week. This is a valuable resource for those preparing to move. |
