Yeah, I saw that and it made the decision for me to not see it in theaters. Disappointing. figures. I'll catch it on Netflix or something in a year

Same here. Once I read the synopsis and initial reviews, I lost interest. It was not the lighthearted film I was hoping for, but one where the punchline is postpartum psychosis? No thanks.

Good thing I bumped into this post. I'll definitely watch this later with my partner. #datenight

So I finally saw this movie (rented it on a rare night in without the husband and kids--interesting choice, huh!)

I liked it. A lot! It wasn't 100% what I hoped it would be and there are a few parts I could have done without, but the problematic mental illness part isn't nearly as problematic as people made it out to be. If anything, it might be little more realistic than most movies where a suffering protagonist is "saved" by a diagnosis.

I was hoping for a movie that would accurately portray the ridiculous ups and downs of motherhood and parenthood--the moments of despair where it feels like everything is falling apart mixed in with those moments where you cant believe how lucky you are. The realities of parenting exhausted by kids and work and what it does to a marriage, but how strong and hopeful that relationship can be when it's with the right person. This movie "gets" that like no other movie I have seen about parenthood. I'm calling it worth a watch.
