  • Thanks, there's nothing really to congratulate. I've never experienced such joy in small improvements in any other modality. Maybe it was lowering expectations, or the teacher, or both. Who knows!

        • So I've started Insanity workouts, just finished week 2! I have also been logging my food on my fitness pal (it hasn't all been good but at least I've taken the first step). I discovered an app called body twin that I'm super into. You can sort to just see people similar to you in build/ weight loss journey, so that way you're at least seeing realistic goals.

Love SS! Make sure you ask for any modifications you may need -- a good teacher will know plenty, and I do too (after 5 years of it). 😆 Listen to your body, eat a real breakfast, take loads of water, stretch and have fun!

                  • I unintentionally took 2 weeks off from working out - I meant to just take a few with vacation, but then things were crazy, and it went too long. Anyway, last night I did a recovery cardio workout to ease back into it, and even that was rough. Tonight I did a total body HIIT workout, and it nearly killed me. Ugh, I need to get back into the habit though. I made it down to 2lbs of my original goal (BMI<25) after losing about 15lbs, and I'm back into most of my clothes, but I still would like to lose about 10 more.

                    • I took 1.5 weeks off and coming back this week I have been sore in places I never knew could hurt. It's stunning how quickly you lose it.

After this weekend I need to get back to focusing on diet. I've been considering doing paleo again, or primal which allows dairy. When I was in MSP Kelly took a couple pictures of me and I was shocked by how huge I still am.

                      • I know this wasn't super active, but...I hit my initial goal weight by the end of 2017. Here's a picture comparing me at about my heaviest vs. about a month ago after having lost about 20lbs. I still need to work on my exercise habits and getting in better shape, but I'm starting 2018 off a lot better than I did 2017!

                            • Thanks! I feel good, although I've done much better with dieting than exercise, and I really need to get better at that to maintain.
