• Hydrate while running

The weather is getting warm and my runs are getting close to an hour long, so I need to start thinking about carrying water with me. What do you use?

(This was actually a bonus of training with a stroller -- I just used the cupholder!)

Hydrate while running

I have a little handheld running bottle with a strap but I hate it. I sort of want a belt

I get annoyed carrying stuff. Maybe a belt or Camel Back? I also used to just tuck a water bottle between my shoulder blades, too.

Can't handle a Camelbak! I get stinky and sweaty enough on a 70 degree day like this. I might look into the belt things.

I have a belt that is lightweight, and only has two water pods. It's great for anything less than 6 miles.

This is what I used on long runs. Put gummies or fruit snacks in the little pouch.

I have two belts: an old school bottle belt that carries a whole water bottle and a Nathan. Honestly I like the old school water belt better than the Nathan. The pockets on the Nathan do not fit an iPhone 6 and the sometimes the damn mini bottles leak. (Bonus: I hear there is a new iPhone that came out that is smaller!!! YEAH! I hate running with a damn huge phone!)

Honestly, though, sometimes just planning a run with water stops is the best. Find a path with fountains or businesses that take pity on runners . Sometimes I hate carrying all that shiz with me.

houseelf I have it...it's the SE and it is smaller than a 6, but it is basically an iPhone 6S in an iPhone 5 body.

I like the spibelt for carrying my phone.

The only water fountain for miles is at the library, whose hours don't always sync up with my running plans. But that's exactly what I did last summer, when I could! I don't find I need water for runs under six miles. DH keeps offering me his fanny pack that has a water bottle holder for a full bottle, but it jiggles and joggles terribly.

I don't carry a phone! I did occasionally when I had a flip phone smaller than a candybar, but there is no way I'm toting my iPhone 4s with the giant external battery that's necessary to keep it alive for a full day. I just go out of touch and hope for the best!

I will do a loop and drop a water bottle off and then pass the loop once or twice. It simulates water stations well too bc I don't carry water on race day.

I have an armband for my phone that fastens with Velcro and holds the entire phone in a sleeve.
My running pet peeve are the regular headphones I've been using. I think it's time to invest in snobby Bluetooth ones...?

Not sure what my plan will be for the half marathon -- it's so humid here all the time that not carrying water, even on short runs, is a bad idea. The temp can feel nice, but you dehydrate quickly. DH treats loads of people from dehydration already. :-

Hubby uses wired headphones on his bike, but he's had to go through a bunch of brands to find the ones that are just right to fit properly and stay in. And he's not subject to the jostling that you get when running.
