    How far along are you?

I'm in panic mode even though I don't think I'm doing too bad.

I have a tendency to get things done before Thanksgiving and this year I'm not even close. And. I have no idea what to get the kids. This has never happened to me before. I usually have a good idea of what they want and have it picked out, and bought by now. This year feels like a giant FAIL. I don't know What to buy for them. I already have some of the standard stuff bought. I have 2 pieces of clothing for each kid and a book for each kid. I also have all stocking stuffers (socks, toothbrusshes, toothpaste, chapstick). I also pot Littlest pet shop and playmobil for Zoe. Beyond that? Nada.

I have absolutely NO IDEA what to get for DH. NO IDEA. He has everything he wants and if he discovers he wants something, he orders it from Amazon.... :/

He needs to be trained to put things on his amazon wishlist rather than just buying them!

I'm feeling OK about how far I've gotten so far; I'm not sure what I"m going to get DH, but I know I'll come up with something I probably would have ramped up figuring things out in the past couple weeks, but DH had two weeks of nights, and I had two weeks of tech week, so I'm a little behind, but not badly enough to be a problem yet. I did pick up a few things for friends and relatives at Costco last week.

Kris, don't feel bad. This year seems to have rushed by...you've still got a month left! I have 2 more people and my Secret Santa person to shop for but that's because I started in July and have been picking things up along the way. Last night, I went Thanksgiving food shopping and stopped by Bed Bath and Beyond for a turkey pan. Left with that and my mom's gift (one of those chair back massage things). 20% off!

I don't usually start until after thanksgiving but I'm early this year. Have a few things already so I'm feeling ahead of the game.

I kinda wanna wait til Black Friday in hope there are good online sales.

Baby J is getting a little people zoo I got used. N is getting a dollhouse (also bought used) and some kitchen items for her to help me with.

No idea about DH or my parents

In done. Except - then I started feeling like, since this is Ryan's first Christmas with us, I should do something really big and exciting. I MAY try to talk DH into a castle playhouse that would go in our sunroom for the winter and all the kids could share. Hmmmmm

I'm still in denial that Thanksgiving is next week. I haven't even thought about Christmas. It's going to be down to the wire holiday prep over here.

Nothing here. I'm super psyched abut Christmas though since my job is basically working in a Christmas village for the next month. All day holiday music, Santa and snow -- and having my kid home for the holidays (squee!) -- is blocking out any worry or planning issues I might have.

I will probably plan a few shopping days and just get it done. Luckily, I'm past the point where my kids really care; we just like hanging out together and eating cookies and stuff.

Not much done here. I got my BFF a present (antique jadeite mixing bowl) when I was in town a couple weeks ago, but I already gave that to her so I may need to get another little something before Christmas. MIL and FIL are done. Otherwise, Amazon is going to take care of business for me!

I know what we're getting the kids, but I haven't bought most of it yet. For me, it's the non-immediate family (parents, siblings) that are really difficult. I always seem to put those gifts off and stress over them until the last minute when I buy something hopelessly generic. I do most of my shopping after Thanksgiving, but this year I will probably place all my orders on Black Monday because of all the shipping delays last year.

I've two out of three kids sorted with things they'll love and it'll be complete jaw dropping surprises!

DW going Wednesday on her own to the city. This is a massive improvement and I'm really chuffed she's taking some of the strain this year.

Day itself causing grief. DW shifts awful so I want a wild Christmas. Throw bikes, bbq and dinner in the van and find a beach to do mad things on.

Christmas jammies have been taken care of for all except me.
A few books for DS1, a shirt for DH, not sure what to get DS2 (who has all handmedowns of clothing and toys from DS1 - the kid needs nothing)...

We thought of doing a "big gift" for 1&2 to share, but there's an age gap and I'm not quite sure I want to introduce a gaming system yet.

DH will be getting a camera as his main gift. I think I am getting stitch fix subscription? No idea. Heck, the camera could be our gift to share.

Thirteen, we didn't get DD much her first Christmas either. It's fine! I try to keep spending equal for now, but they really don't know or care.
