"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Your attention please: D slept through the night!!! Ok, so not really because she rolled off her floor bed at midnight and yelled until I put her back on but she went back on and back to sleep with no nursing and slept until I woke her up at 7 to go for our run.

This is 4 months earlier than C did. AMAZING. I hope she keeps this up.

Rave: You know how I purchased a 1970's vintage patchwork suede jacket for $15 at a thrift store yesterday? I thought that was a pretty good find just because the jacket is fun. Well, on a whim I also purchased a coffee table book for DrK. I like coffee table books, usually fine art books. Every time I go to a museum or exhibit, I buy the official publication of the museum's collection. I figure that I never have enough time to see the entire exhibit/collection/museum and when I'm an old lady with lots of time on my hands, I'll enjoy reading my books at my leisure. But I digress, I wasn't particularly excited about the book I bought yesterday but it was $6, it was 25% off day, and I thought DrK might think the subject matter was cool. So, I thought about it for 30 seconds before throwing it in my cart. I don't think I even stopped the cart as I pulled it off the shelf. I opened the book up today and turns out, it's a signed first edition book of Doonesbury cartoons with dust jacket, like new condition. The first edition of the book was shrink wrapped and had an original list price of $100 without signature. It's now listed for $50 new, IDK what edition, which is about the typical price for a typical coffee table book. Someone got lucky and bought a signed first edition of this particular book on ebay for $36 this summer. However, now I can only find it listed by three sellers on line, all outside of ebay, for $200-$495. Hope DrK still thinks it's cool.

3 1/2 hours after his last patient... And he's still at work.

I did "breakfast for dinner," baths for both kids, and am currently in bed trying to will myself to sleep immediately.

I took both kids to old navy, somehow tried stuff on. And then came home and reordered the same stuff online because they had free shipping and it was cheaper online
